Our Premium Monochord is not only visiually unique; its clear, warm and full sound also has a very relaxing effect on body and mind. With its fine woods, the Premium Monochord is a real eye-catcher among monochords.
The Premium Monolina Monochord Ebony & Ivory is a particularly elegant instrument, inspired by Paul McCartney's hit ‘Ebony and Ivory’. Ebony and ivory have long been the materials used for the keys of pianos and grand pianos. They also represent the polarised world, the balance of male and female forces as symbolised in Yin and Yang. Of course, we do not use the protected ivory and the rare ebony. The body of this particularly valuable Monolina is made of wenge and maple. The instrument is somewhat heavier due to the wood and therefore has an even more intense sound. The frame, single bridges and u-stand are made of wenge; the handles and the soundboard are made of maple.

Monochord sound examples - Which tuning suits you?
Which tuning or fundamental tone of the monochord suits you best is very personal. Take your time to feel and listen to which tone resonates with you the most or which tone challenges you to be discovered. Your monochord can always be tuned a semitone higher or lower around the fundamental tone.
