The Kalimba of the Sansula Deluxe is mounted on a high quality goat skin, which is visually and tangibly beautiful. This gives it a full sound space that carries the tones for a long time. Each Sansula Deluxe is a unique piece. Retightening the skin is not necessary in principle. In high humidity, however, the skin can become saggy and must then be retightened with the Allen key. You will find detailed information on this in the enclosed instructions.

Traditionally the Kalimba (Zanza, Mbira, Nsansi, thumb piano) is the instrument of South African storytellers. The player enchants with dreamlike sounds and melodies even without any knowledge of notes or music.

The renowned manufacturer, Peter Hokema, invented this instrument in 2001 and developed it to a quality that makes it possible to experience sound as well as handling and aesthetics in its highest form. With the processing of the best materials the so far five existing models of the Sansula are perfected. Hokema sets the highest standards here.
