a longer and deeper variation of the Monolina monochord
We have added a low C to the Monolina series, which sounds lower than our D. The body is a little longer than all other Monolinas, but slightly narrower and higher. This greater volume and the longer scale length make it possible to use these low strings.
This large monolina has 28 strings and, as usual, five
single bridges with template. It is strung with 23 C overtone strings and 5 C bass strings. We developed it at the request of many customers. The quint instrument for the large Monolina C is the Monolina G, which is thus given a new weight in playing circles. There it is used for tonal rounding in the bass range and for low accompaniment.
All feeltone u-stands can be used. A crossbar adapted to the length is required for the high stand versions. The Monolina XL-C is also an excellent match for our Elemental Soundscapes Terra with the C/F tuning. It adds the depth that is important for earth tuning.
